Jurgen Klopp confirms Agreement with Brighton for Moises Caicedo

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, said on Friday that his team and Brighton & Hove Albion had reached a deal for Moises Caicedo, an Ecuadorian midfielder, to join Liverpool.

According to reports, the transaction is worth 110 million pounds ($140 million), which would be a record transfer fee in Britain. The price agreed upon for Caicedo is higher than the £107 million Chelsea spent earlier this year on Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

“I can confirm that, whatever it ultimately implies, the (Caicedo) arrangement with the club is agreed. We obviously want the player, not just the contract, Klopp stated at a press conference before Sunday’s Premier League start for Liverpool against Chelsea.

The 21-year-old Caicedo has not yet agreed to personal terms or had a physical.

However, several media reports have suggested that the midfielder has been keen to move to Chelsea, who have been unable to agree a fee with Brighton.
