With the fastest time of 1:44:782 and first place on the 10-rider list to qualify for the Qualifying 2 (Q2) session of the inaugural MotoGP Indian Grand Prix on Saturday, VR46 Racing Team’s Luca Marini led the timesheet at the Buddh International Circuit on Friday. Jorge Martin of Pramac Ducati came in second with a time of 1:44.790, and Aprilia’s Aleix Espargaro took third with a timing of 1:44.833. Six-time World Champion and Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez came in fourth, ahead of Marco Bezzecchi of VR46 and Maverick Vinales of Aprilia. With a timing of 1:45.990, Bezzecchi won the first practise session (FP1) earlier in the day, beating Marquez by 0.130 seconds. Brad Binder, who placed third in the FP1 session, came in 12th in Practise, missing out on a Q2 position.
