Carlos Sainz of Ferrari won the Singapore Grand Prix to halt 10-win streak of Formula 1 leader Max Verstappen and end Red Bull’s hopes of staying undefeated for the entire season. Lando Norris of McLaren came in second place and Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes came in third, leaving Red Bull off the podium for the first time since the Brazilian Grand Prix in November.
Over the course of the race weekend, more than 264,108 spectators attended the 2023 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. 302,000 spectators attended the event last year, breaking the previous attendance record of 268,000 set for the 2019 edition. The COVID-19 outbreak forced the cancellation of the Singapore Grand Prix in 2020 and 2021.
