For Scottie Scheffler, the third time proved to be lucky. Scheffler persevered and won the Hero World Challenge after placing second in the competition in 2021 and 2022.
Scheffler (20-under 268 overall) finished three strokes clear of nearest competitor Sepp Straka thanks to a bogey-free four-under 68 in the final round. Scheffler will be confident going into 2024. As I start getting ready for the upcoming season, it’s wonderful to have the momentum of a win, he remarked.
Justin Thomas (67) and Matt Fitzpatrick (70) were unable to threaten Scheffler, who won his third race of the year. Tiger Woods came back with a 72 to take 18th place. After recovering from an injury, Woods was content to make it through all four rounds.
