TATA IPL : RCBvLSG: Mayank Yadav and Quinton de Kock excel as Lucknow defeats Bengaluru by 28 runs.

Mayank Yadav was too much to handle. The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer ramped it up to 156.7 kmph, causing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to withdraw from the contest.

Mayank’s fire was kindled in his first over, as he nailed Glenn Maxwell with a sharp short ball. Mayank then performed magic when he castled Australian Cameron Green with incredible speed. Green was far too late for the rapid delivery, losing his off-stump. Rajat Patidar became Mayank’s third victim, with another short ball doing the trick.

The home team was out for the count due to Mayank’s punches, and they fell by 28 runs. RCB’s hopes hinged on impact player Mahipal Lomror (33, 13b, 3×4, 3×6), who captivated the fans with several powerful hits. But when he fell in the 18th over, RCB’s fate was sealed.

RCB would have assumed it had gained a significant advantage by winning the toss and deciding to chase. On a sticky M. Chinnaswamy Stadium pitch, Quinton de Kock (81, 56b, 8×4, 5×6) and Nicholas Pooran (40 n.o., 21b, 1×4, 5×6) helped LSG to a solid total.
