Annu Rani, who won the Asian Games, started her competition in Germany in sixth place, throwing the javelin 60.68 meters. But she ended up setting a new record for India with her last throw of 63.82 meters. The winner was Adriana Vilagos from Serbia, who threw 63.58 meters.
In Los Angeles, at the Sound Running Track Fest, K.M. Deeksha broke the national record for the 1500-meter race, which was held by Harmilan Bains for three years.
