At the ISSF Shooting World Cup in Munich, Germany, Sarabjot Singh won the gold medal in air pistol, beating Bu Shuaihang of China by just 0.2 points. Sarabjot, 22, had also come first in the qualification round with a score of 588. This was his second individual World Cup gold medal, following his win in Bhopal last year.
In the women’s air pistol competition, Rhythm Sangwan scored 575 and ranked 17th, while Surbhi Rao scored 569 and came in 45th. Manu Bhaker chose not to compete.
Sift Kaur Samra, who won gold at the Asian Games, scored 593 to qualify for the final in the women’s 50-meter rifle 3-position event. Ashi Chouksey scored 590 but missed the final by three points, finishing 19th. Anjum Moudgil scored 589 and placed 26th.
