After winning in Hamstead, Tyler Reddick advanced to the Championship 4 for the first time. With two rounds left in the title fight, Francesco Bagnaia maintained his lead in the rainy Thailand race. Following Carlos Sainz’s victory in Mexico, Ferrari completes a perfect double in back-to-back races. Following a spectacular last-lap overtake to win in Hamstead, Reddick solidified his place in the Championship 4 alongside Las Vegas champion Joey Logano. Just seconds from the checkered flag, Reddick, who finished third in the last lap, raced past Ryan Blaney on the outside in the last curve.
Blaney finished second and Denny Hamlin third — both facing a likely must-win situation now. Christopher Bell and Chase Elliott rounded out the top five. The victory initially looked like it would be between Blaney and Kyle Larson before the latter spun sideways and brought out the caution flag.
