Thapa, competing in the 33kg category, overcame Kazakhstan’s Anelya Ordabek in the semifinals and then outclassed Ukraine’s Liudmyla Vasylchenko in the final, demonstrating exceptional technique and control to win the title.
India’s success continued with Bhoomi, who excelled in the 35kg weight class by defeating Kazakhstan’s Assel Jalimbekova. Nischal Sharma contributed to India’s achievements in the 37kg category with a tactical victory over Ukraine’s Maria Matsiura, securing the country’s third title with a commanding performance in the final round.
