At the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, on Wednesday, the Indian team of Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh, and Rhythm Sangwan took home the gold medal in the women’s 25m pistol team competition.
India earned silver with a total score of 1759, three more than China. With 1742, Republic of Korea won bronze. Manu won the qualification round with a score of 590. Esha came in fifth place with 586. Rhythm came in seventh with a score of 583, but she was disqualified from the final because each nation is limited to sending two shooters. At the current Asiad, India has taken home 16 medals, including four gold, five silver, and seven bronze.
