Beach football will be a new sport at the upcoming 37th National Games, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced via a press conference.
Notably, the Men’s National Beach Football Championships were held by the AIFF in Surat’s Dumas Beach earlier this year, and it was a huge success.
At the games, host Goa and the top seven teams from the National Championships will be vying for the championship. The eight teams have been divided into two groups: Punjab, Uttarakhand, Odisha, and Goa comprise Group B, and Kerala, Delhi, Jharkhand, and Lakshadweep comprise Group A.
