After closing with a 2-under 70, Cam Davis won the Rocket Mortgage Classic for the second time. Akshay Bhatia lost by one shot when he three-putted from 32 feet on the last hole. With a birdie on the par-5 17th hole, Australian Davis, 29, who won his first PGA Tour championship at Detroit Golf Club three years prior, tied Bhatia.
When Bhatia missed low on his 4-foot par effort on the 18th and proceeded to make his first three-putt of the week, it was evident that this was sufficient.
After a day of wasted opportunities for the last pairing of Aaron Rai and Bhatia, who both shot even-par 72, Davis finished at 18-under 270.
Davis became the first two-time winner of the event since its debut on the PGA Tour schedule in 2019.
