Nick Dunlap made history by becoming the first player to win tournaments as both a professional and an amateur in the same PGA Tour season. He won the Barracuda Championship after having previously won as an amateur at the American Express tournament in California in January.
At 20 years old, Dunlap is the first golfer to win twice in a rookie PGA Tour season since Xander Schauffele, the current British Open champion, did so in 2017.
The Barracuda Championship uses a unique scoring system where players earn two points for birdies and five points for eagles, but lose points for bogeys or worse.
