England’s Richard Bland won the US Senior Open title by parring the fourth extra hole to beat Japan’s Hiroyuki Fujita in a playoff. The 51-year-old, who competes in the Saudi-backed LIV Golf League, started the day five strokes behind Fujita at Newport Country Club in Rhode Island. Bland’s four-under-par 66 in the final round brought him to a tie with Fujita at 13-under 267 after 72 holes. Fujita, 55, struggled during Monday’s continuation of the storm-delayed final round, making three bogeys in a four-hole stretch and finishing with a 71.
