The Barcelona defender, Gerard Piqué, announced his retirement recently. The game against Almería at the Camp Nou would be his last. The 35-year-old Spaniard had won the World Cup in 2010 and the Champions League on three occasions with Barcelona. “It is the moment to end this stage of my life. I always said that after Barcelona there will be no other club, and that is the way it is going to be,” he wrote on social media. So far, he had played 615 games for Barcelona, scoring 52 goals.
