Gukesh beats Keymer while Praggnanandhaa draws with Bartel

In the eighth and penultimate round of the Prague Masters Chess Tournament, Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh defeated Vincent Keymer of Germany, while his colleague R. Praggnanandhaa was held to a draw by Mateusz Bartel of Poland. With one round remaining, Uzbek Grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov resumed his winning streak by crashing past Iran’s Parham Maghsoodloo’s defences to claim the title.

With six points, Abdusattorov now holds a 1.5-point advantage. Following his impressive performance today, the Uzbek ascended to fourth place in the world rankings. Vidit Gujrathi, the other Indian in the fray, drew with Richard Rapport of Romania.
