Hunner Singh, a 15-year-old youthful sensation, made history in his debut MECO FMSCI National Karting Championship 2023, finishing on the podium in his first year.
Hunner, who is from Gurgaon in Haryana, is part of a subculture dominated by karting participants from South India, while North India lacks FMSCI-approved tracks. Due to the scarcity of such tracks, he travels to Bengaluru, India’s karting capital, on a regular basis. A rib fracture forced him to withdraw from the 2022 National Karting Championship last year.
The accident provided him with added drive, and he quickly returned to form, finishing on the podium in seven of the ten championship races.
