The inability of Steve Smith and Mitchell Marsh to maintain the momentum gave New Zealand the chance to make a comeback later in the game. But when Glenn Maxwell’s blitz moved the momentum back to Australia, Pat Cummins and Josh Inglish continued to blast boundaries at will. Maxwell was dismissed for 41 (24), Inglish made 38 (28), and Cummins smashed 37 off of just 14 balls.
