Indian Open prize-money increased to two million dollars

When the Hero Indian Open golf tournament makes its return to the DLF Golf and Country Club at Gurugram from February 23 to 26, it is expected to draw a tough field due to the record prize money of two million dollars and more ranking points at stake. The winner receives $340,000, followed by the runner-up ($220,000), third place ($126,000), and fourth place ($100,000). There should be about 30 Indians on the field. Along with the 25 spots set aside for the host, special invitees include Shubhankar Sharma, Shiv Kapur, and two-time winner S. S. P. Chawrasia
