Over the years, the Indian men’s Kabaddi team has dominated the game of Kabaddi, winning nine of the ten World Cups that the International Kabaddi Federation has primarily hosted in Asia (IKF). But, there’s a bit of a change. The Kabaddi world cup will be hosted outside Asia for the first time. At least 16 teams (men and women), including ones from Pakistan, Iran, and India, will compete in the tournament, which is being organised by England Kabaddi, Scottish Kabaddi, and the British Kabaddi League. It will take place in the West Midlands in the first quarter of 2025. In 2003, the World Kabaddi Federation was established.
