Former World No. 1 Kidambi Srikanth and S. Subramanian secured victories in their respective matches, advancing to the men’s singles quarterfinals of the Thailand Masters BWF Super 300 tournament. Srikanth needed just 42 minutes to defeat 20-year-old Jason Gunawan from Hong Kong with a score of 21-19, 21-15 in the round of 16.
He had previously triumphed over Gunawan in last year’s Badminton Asia Team Championships. Meanwhile, Subramanian faced a tough challenge but ultimately prevailed against Indonesia’s Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo.
