A 45-year-old man passed away on his way home from the London Marathon on Sunday, according to a statement from the event’s organisers. The race’s organisers stated that seasoned runner Steve Shanks, of Nottingham, completed it in two hours, 53 minutes, and 26 seconds. They added that a medical check would be conducted later to determine the reason of his death.Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands, a middle-distance runner, shocked the field by winning the women’s race in her first marathon. Kenya’s Kelvin Kiptum broke a course record for the men’s event, winning in a time of two hours, one minute and 25 seconds. More over 48,000 runners completed the distance.
