Nelly Korda defeated Ryann O’Toole in the LPGA Seri Pak Championship with a birdie putt on the opening playoff hole, securing her second triumph in as many starts and a return to world number one.
Korda hadn’t played since defeating Lydia Ko in a playoff to win the Drive On Championship in Florida seven weeks prior. Korda led by three after an eagle at the 14th, but closed with back-to-back bogeys in a two-under-par 69 to level fellow American O’Toole on nine-under par 275, with his five-under 66 the lowest round of the day.
