New court designs are unveiled by the NBA for in-season tournament matches.

There will be new court designs in the NBA’s in-season tournament. The competition, which begins on Friday and runs through December 9, will feature all 30 clubs’ home games on floors that are mostly solid colours. The woodgrain will be completely covered by paint on the courts.
Prior to making the list public on Monday, the league gave the designs to one of its broadcast partners, ESPN, on Monday. The project’s cost was not disclosed by the league.
All of the courts have essentially the same layout, with team names on the baseline, a 16-foot-wide runway in a contrasting colour down the middle of the floor, and the NBA Cup, the tournament’s trophy, displayed both at midcourt and in the lanes.
