New president for BCCI

1983 World Cup hero, Roger Binny, was elected as the 36th president of the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI), taking over the charge from former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly. Prior to his elevation, he was the head coach of the world cup winning Indian under-19 team in 2000. He was also a national selector. He also worked in the Asian Cricket Council as development officer for a short period. He was the highest wicket taker in the winning Indian squad of 1983 World Cup.
