Perez extends contract with Red Bull

In a press release, Red Bull Racing announced that Sergio Perez will stay with the team until 2026. The Mexican driver, who joined the team at the end of 2020, signed a two-year contract extension. After finishing second in the Drivers’ Championship in 2023, Perez had his most successful seasons in Formula One.
This marked the first time the Salzburg team secured a one-two finish. The 35-year-old has achieved three pole positions, 29 podium finishes, and five race wins with Red Bull. His significant contributions were crucial in winning the Constructors’ World Championships in 2022 and 2023.
Perez made history by securing his first pole position at the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, becoming the only Mexican driver to do so. It took him 215 races to achieve this, setting a new record for the most races before getting a pole position.
