Setback for France’s N’Golo Kante

Following a hamstring injury and a subsequent surgery, France midfielder N’Golo Kante was ruled out of the FIFA World Cup 2022. It was informed by the defending champion, Chelsea. He would be out for four months. Kante had played a key role in France’s 2018 campaign. According to reports, he faced the setback during the final stages of his recovery.  The FIFA World Cup 2022 is scheduled to be held November 20 to December 18  in Qatar. Kante had played only two Premier League matches this season. The club also issued a statement citing that the midfielder had visited a specialist with the club’s medical department.
