Shnaider wins Hong Kong Open for her fourth title of 2024

At the Hong Kong Open, Diana Shnaider of Russia defeated Katie Boulter in straight sets to win her fourth WTA championship of a stellar season. In a 71-minute, lopsided final at Victoria Park, the top seed crushed second-seeded Boulter of Britain 6-1, 6-2.

The 20-year-old Shnaider, currently ranked 14th in the world, won titles in Budapest, Bad Homburg, Germany, and Hua Hin, Thailand, in addition to the Hong Kong title. In a different match, Viktorija Golubic of Switzerland won the Jiangxi Open in China by defeating Rebecca Sramkova of Slovakia. The 32-year-old Golubic earned her first title since 2016 after winning the final 6-3, 7-5.
