Rising Indian shuttler Unnati Hooda made it to the U-17 women’s singles quarterfinals at the Badminton Asia U-17 and U-15 Junior Championships 2022. She had a comfortable victory in Nonthaburi, Thailand. The Odisha Open champion beat 14th seed Nutchavee Sittiteeranan of Thailand 21-11, 21-19 in the round of 16. Unnati started the match confidently and easily pocketed the first set, but was pushed hard in the second. But the junior shuttler showed a knack for keeping her cool in the 18-18 match, completing sets and ultimately playing to her advantage.
