Sunrisers Hyderabad, batting first against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, surpassed its own record of the highest-ever team total in IPL history with a score of 287 for 3. In their second game of the current season against the Mumbai Indians at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, the Pat Cummins-led squad scored 277 for 3, shattering the previous record of 263 for 5, set by RCB against the now-defunct Pune Warriors India in 2013 at Bengaluru.
The record for the highest aggregate in a Twenty20 match was again broken in the IPL 2024 match between SRH and RCB, as the latter’s response of 262 for 7 increased the total runs scored to 549. The previous high came during this season’s encounter between SRH and MI, with 523 runs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad crushed a hapless Royal Challengers Bengaluru 287 thanks in large part to Travis Head’s devastating century.
