Victoria Azarenka advances to the fourth round by maintaining her flawless record

In the Australian Open third round on Saturday, Victoria Azarenka, a two-time champion, defeated Jelena Ostapenko 6-1 7-5 to move her career record against the latter to 4-0. Melbourne Park was the site of Azarenka’s two Grand Slam victories. The 34-year-old demonstrated her love for the event by defeating the 2017 French Open champion four times in a row.

 

Dayana Yastremska, a Ukrainian qualifier, defeated 27th seed Emma Navarro 6-2 2-6 6-1 to go to the 18th seed. After taking advantage of several mistakes and a double fault from Ostapenko, the Belarusian broke her once more. In the decisive game, she saved four break points and won in one hour and twenty-three minutes.
