At the Dr. Karni Singh Range in Tughlakabad, the men’s trap competition at the National Shooting Selection Trials was won by Vivaan Kapoor, who defeated Zoravar Singh Sandhu 4-3 in the shoot-off. With 121 out of 125, Vivaan and Zoravar both had excellent qualifying scores, topping the list. In third place, ahead of Shardul Vihan, Balabhadra Tarasia, Gyanchand Susheel Sharan, and the former world champion Manavjit Singh Sandhu.
This season’s World Cup medallist, Prithviraj Tondaiman, finished 10th with 117. Bhowneesh Mendiratta, who won the Olympic quota, finished 13th with 116. With 114, Olympian Kynan Chenai placed 25th out of 82 shooters.
