M.T. Ann Mariya won +87kg gold medal on the concluding day of the Khelo India National Ranking women’s weightlifting tournament at Modinagar in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh by lifting 90kg in snatch and 123kg in clean and jerk. She defeated Commonwealth championships gold medalist Purnima Pandey by one kilogram. By lifting a total of 212kg weight, Purnima Pandey clinched the second spot, followed by Jasbir Kaur (192kg).
