WI vs IND, 3rd T20I: Tilak and Suryakumar’s Fireworks aid India to keep Series alive

India defeated West Indies by seven wickets in the third T20I on Tuesday at the Providence Stadium in Guyana, thanks to a superb all-around effort.

India keeps the five-match series alive at 2-1 with its first victory.

After Kuldeep Yadav’s three wickets held the West Indies to 159/5 in the first innings thanks to his three dismissals, Suryakumar Yadav hit 83 and Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 49 to help the team reach the 160-run mark in 18 overs.

Suryakumar fired attacking strokes all over the pitch while in his element. In just 23 balls, he had crossed the fifty-run mark and was hitting boundaries at will.

He made 83 runs off 44 balls while hitting 10 fours and four sixes before being caught at the fine leg boundary while attempting to hit a six off Alzarri Joseph.

Tilak, on the other hand, had a supporting role. At the plate, Hardik Pandya had a needed run rate of under six. The pair finished the run chase in 17.5 overs without taking many risks.
Pandya scored six runs to win the game, leaving Tilak undefeated at 49 at the non-striker’s end.

Earlier in the bowling, despite being met with a flurry of boundaries in his first over, Kuldeep Yadav responded effectively to dismiss Johnson Charles, Nicholas Pooran, and King in the same over to end with 3/28.

The last two games of the series will now be played on Saturday and Sunday in Florida between India and the West Indies.
