At the World Athletics U-20 Championships, the Indian team consisting of Jay Kumar, Neeru Pahtak, Rihan Chaudhary, and Sandramol Sabu placed third overall out of 20 teams to earn a spot in the 4x400m mixed relay final.
The Indians finished second in the first heat and third overall, recording their best performance of the season with a time of 3:22.54. With a time of 3:21.10, Australia’s Jordan Gilbert, Bella Pasquali, Jack Deguara, and Sophia Gregorevic took first place in the rankings.
With a season-best time of 3:21.92 seconds, the Polish quartet of Michał Kijewski, Wiktoria Gajosz, Stanisław Strzelecki, and Zofia Tomczyk achieved the second-best timing overall.
