The WTT Star Contender, the largest table tennis competition in India, will return to Goa for its second edition from January 23 to 28 of the following year. The International Table Tennis Federation created World Table Tennis (WTT) in 2019 as the hub for professional men’s and women’s table tennis competitions worldwide. The four Grand Smashes are the highest-ranked tournaments in the series, which includes many events held all year long.
Only the top 30 players are allowed to compete in the tournament, which is a part of the six-star Contender series. Six players must be ranked in the top 20 worldwide. A $250,000 prize fund and ranking points are up for grabs in this tournament. Additionally, there are qualifiers for the WTT Cup Finals and WTT Champions Series at this event.
