World 200m champion and Olympic favorite Shericka Jackson appeared to sustain an injury late in a race during the Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix. The Jamaican star was leading and approaching the finish line when she abruptly slowed down. Jackson seemed to be in pain as she exited the track, in a race that was ultimately won by Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia. The Paris Games are set to begin later this month. Jackson holds three of the four fastest times ever recorded in the women’s 200m. Her best time of 21.41 seconds was achieved when she won gold at the World Championships last summer in Budapest, Hungary. She is getting increasingly closer to breaking the record set by Florence Griffith Joyner, who ran 21.34 seconds at the Seoul Olympics in 1988.
