Briton Alex Yee executed a flawlessly-paced 10km run to secure a dramatic Olympic triathlon gold, overtaking a tiring Hayden Wilde of New Zealand in challenging Paris conditions. Initially scheduled for Tuesday, the race was postponed due to poor water quality in the River Seine. After completing the swim and bike segments, a large group of 32 athletes transitioned to the run together. Yee and Wilde quickly broke away from the pack, but Wilde, a bronze medallist in Tokyo, surprisingly made an early move. Yee, known as the fastest runner in the field and a silver medallist three years ago, chose not to respond immediately.
