New rules

The ICC brought has brought new rules into effect from October 1. These rules are being followed for the first time at the T20 World Cup. Henceforth, a new batter will be on strike when a batter is out caught, regardless of the fact that whether the batters crossed before the catch was taken. As per the new norms, running out a non-striker will no longer be an ‘unsportsmanship’ act or ‘unfair play.’ The new rule also states that a batter will have to have some part of his person or bat within the pitch while playing a shot. If the batter goes beyond that, the delivery will be called a dead-ball.
