World champion Pankaj Advani of India oozed class with a 305-point triple century break as he defeated compatriot Rovin D’Souza and strolled to a commanding 1197-156 point victory in his first Group-A league match of the All India CCI Billiards Classic. Advani, who achieved a grand double at the IBSF World Billiards Championship last November by winning both the time format and the long-up, played with sublime touch, executing his shots flawlessly and taking entire control of the match.
Furthermore, Advani dominated the table for extended periods of time, collecting breaks of 188, 162, 191, 92, and 97 en route to a comfortable victory.
Earlier, India’s top two Sourav Kothari and Peter Sheehan of England were both in terrific form, recording huge breaks during their respective opening group matches.
