Brazil’s superstar Vinicius Junior’s Real Madrid contract is extended until 2027

Vinícius Júnior’s contract with Real Madrid was extended on Tuesday, binding the forward from Brazil to the team through the 2026–2027 campaign. The initial deal for Vinícius was supposed to expire at the end of this season. Although Madrid withheld financial information, Spanish media reported that Vinícius will now be the team’s highest paid player with a 1 billion euro buyout clause. (Billion dollars). During the signing, Vinícius held out a Madrid jersey with the No. 2027 on it and stood with Florentino Pérez, the club president.

 

In 2018, Vinícius, being eighteen years old, joined the Spanish powerhouse from Brazilian club Flamengo. In addition to add-ons, Madrid had to pay about 45 million euros to get the gifted forward, who is currently a regular starter for both Real Madrid and Brazil’s national team.

 

Vinícius has played 235 games in his six seasons with Real Madrid, scoring 63 goals and taking home nine titles, including two Spanish crowns and the Champions League. In the 2022 Champions League final, Madrid defeated Liverpool 1-0 thanks to a goal from him. Along with two Spanish Super Cups, two Club World Cups, and a Copa del Rey, he has won other titles with the team.
